RGB Rocks
Command tetris-block shaped asteroid storms across the vastness of space to rain down on an opposing civilisation.
Controls are:
- - W = UP
- - S = DOWN
- - SPACE/C = FIRE
We have RPS (rock paper scissors) with the 3 colours you can assign to your rocks.
- Red beats blue .
- Blue beats green.
- Green beats red.
It was also made with the limitation of 3 buttons. So no quick restarting. I will go on and do the trial and error bit for you...
Space to pick an asteroid storm from your "pile" on the far left of the screen. You then must assign it a colour using the spinning paint wheel. Space again to stop the spinner and pick that colour. Congrats. You are primed to fire. Block or kill your opponent, or chase power ups that give you the edge in later levels.
Made for DTJ36-27 (in 10 hours, because I was jam-lagged from Juniper's jam on the first day).
Known bugs
- If you have loaded a piece when the opponent dies, that piece "appears" in the next round, I don't think it ever disappears. I was testing too meticulously and if you just spam shots to beat the level (without exploring powerups) you will be affected.
- The stack of tetris-like asteroid-storms (rolls off the tongue) also shows stale shapes from previous levels. I never really "choose" a shape, so didn't notice in time.
These bugs stemmed from my introduction of "gravity inversion", from level 3, which shakes up your stack of shapes, in an effort to prevent the game being played only at low altitudes.
